For Southampton they had to deal, with a ten point deduction, which Leeds United were able to succumb a couple of seasons ago. It proved to be a tough start for Southampton, however under Alan Pardew they seem to be making good ground in League 1 now, and hopefully by Saturday they will be out of the relegation zone for the first time this season.Even with a huge points deduction, hanging overtheir heads, Southampton have now reached eleven points, and maybe if their good form continues, they can creep into a play-off place come the end of the season.The Saints however didnt have the best start to the League 1 season. The first month of the 09/10 campaign,Southampton failed to win a single game in the League.
